Engineering Project Buyer

About the role

As an Engineering Project Buyer at Yuni Bersaudara Sejahtera, you will support the company's project needs and logistics operations. This full-time position is based in Pekanbaru Riau and requires a strong background in Engineering knowledge, Procurement, and Negotiation.

What you'll be doing

1. Develop and manage procurement strategies for key engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment within budget.
2. Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and finance teams to identify purchasing requirements and negotiate favourable terms with suppliers.
3. Maintain strong supplier relationships and conduct regular performance reviews to optimize the supply chain.
4. Oversee the purchasing process, from sourcing to order placement and delivery, to guarantee seamless project execution.
5. Provide detailed reporting on procurement activities and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
6. Support the development and implementation of procurement policies and best practices.

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 3 years of experience in a procurement or purchasing role, preferably in the engineering project or contractor manufacturing industry.
2. Strong technical understanding of engineering materials, equipment, and production processes.
3. Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
4. Proven track record in managing complex procurement projects and maintaining supplier relationships.
5. Proficient in using procurement software and data analysis tools to optimize purchasing decisions.
6. Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferable.
