Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, including backlog grooming, sprint planning and code reviews.
• Involved in system design discussion with Head of Engineering.
• Involved in incident management, mainly in proactive and preventive initiatives.
• Drive technical projects.
• Contribute technically to projects by owning services, improving code quality, enhancing the development process, and building operational excellence.
• Work closely with the product management team and business team in product requirements and review.

Requirements

• Have experience of 5 years in the financial technology industry is preferable.
• Fast learner and good analytical thinking.
• Advanced knowledge in Go (according to priorities).
• Exposure to architectural patterns of high-scale web applications.
• Experience with distributed storage and database systems, including SQL or NoSQL.
• A systematic problem-solving approach and knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis.
• Good communication skills, team player, and comfortable working with a cross-functional team.
• A passion for learning, improving, and contributing to projects with a strong sense of ownership.
• Experience with TDD.
• Experience with refactoring large systems.
• Experience with event-driven architecture.
• Experience with Kafka, Kubernetes, Grafana, and Prometheus would be a plus.
