Overview
- Lead and manage all engineering activities, including production engineering, maintenance, and new product introduction.
- Oversee process design, optimization, and validation to improve productivity and product quality.
- Manage the planning, installation, and commissioning of new equipment and production lines.
- Ensure effective preventive maintenance programs for all manufacturing equipment.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma) to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Production departments for product design and manufacturability improvements.
- Monitor key engineering KPIs — cost reduction, downtime, efficiency, and safety compliance.
- Manage engineering budgets and ensure adherence to cost control targets.
- Lead, mentor, and develop engineering staff to achieve department objectives.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in automotive or related manufacturing industry, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes, tooling, and automation systems.
- Experience in new model development, process planning, and mass production setup.
- Proficiency in project management, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, and ISO/TS 16949 standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team development skills.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
