Job description

Adecco, a global leader in HR solutions – is currently supporting one of the leading national EPC companies in the oil and gas sector in their search for an Engineering Manager to be placed in Riau.

This role requires deep expertise in artificial lift systems, especially Electric Submersible Pumps (ESP), strong leadership in engineering teams, and hands-on experience across design, analysis, and field operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, selection, and implementation of Artificial Lift systems, particularly ESPs, Horizontal Surface Pumps, and Progressive Cavity Pumps.
  • Oversee engineering activities including analysis, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of ESP equipment.
  • Utilize tools such as SubPump, Autograph, and Pipesim for system design and performance optimization.
  • Manage and mentor engineering teams, ensuring high-quality technical output and team development.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and maintain strong client relationships to ensure project success.
  • Support integration of Variable Speed Drive (VSD) systems and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including at least 4 years as an Engineering Manager or a minimum of 2 years as an Application Engineer.
  • Proven expertise in the design, selection, analysis, and evaluation of ESPs, Horizontal Surface Pump Systems, and Progressive Cavity Pumps.
  • Direct experience and strong knowledge in Artificial Lift systems, particularly Electric Submersible Pumps (ESP).
  • Proficient in engineering software for artificial lift design and analysis, such as SubPump, Autograph, Pipesim, and other relevant tools.
  • Hands-on experience in the installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of ESP equipment.
  • Solid understanding of VSD topologies and control systems.
  • Advanced communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate individuals across all organizational levels, including subcontractors.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain high-level external relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a strong capacity to work within teams, influence stakeholders, and drive results across various organizational levels.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, including mentoring and coaching team members.
