Job summary

FinShot Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Indonesia engineering team, owning people, schedules, and processes. You will run sprints, remove blockers, and protect the team’s long-term health by enforcing capacity allocation.

You will report progress to our Korea headquarters in English. You will hire, evaluate, onboard, and retain developers, plan sprints, enforce capacity ratios, and coordinate across pods.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on development experience.
• 2+ years leading teams (10+ people preferred).
• English proficiency for meetings and reports.
• Experience with Jira and GitLab for sprint management.
• Experience managing remote/distributed teams.
• Native Indonesian speaker.

Job description

As Engineering Manager, you own how the Indonesia engineering team delivers - the people, the schedule, and the process. You run sprints, remove blockers, and take ownership of delivery. Your most important discipline is enforcing our capacity allocation to protect the team's long-term health against short-term urgency. You lead a team with a high share of junior engineers, and report progress to the Korea headquarters in English.

• Plan and run sprints; assign tickets
• Enforce the capacity allocation ratio
• Remove blockers and coordinate across pods
• Own the code-review culture, quality management, and release management
• Report progress to the Korea headquarters (in English)

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on development experience, plus 2+ years of team management (experience managing teams of 10+ preferred)
• Working-level English - able to run meetings and write reports
• Experience running agile sprints and operating with issue-tracking / sprint-management tools (e.g., Jira, GitLab)
• Experience managing remote / distributed teams
• Native Indonesian speaker

Nice to Have

• Experience in fintech / banking / payments
• Experience running an engineering organization in a strictly regulated, security-sensitive environment
