EMEA Claims Senior Data Business Analyst

Job Description

Join our EMEA Claims Operations MI/BI team, where you will provide deep data insights to COG, regional EMEA Leadership, local claims clusters/countries heads, and SLT. Your work will include analyzing claims trends and KPIs, developing predictive models, and making management recommendations. Basic data generation is handled offshore, while advanced data interpretation and KPI trend analysis are conducted onshore, close to our business leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead data analytics and advanced data generation, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery, and communicate/escalate to stakeholders as needed.
  • Re-engineer processes for the global AI program and support the design and implementation of approved initiatives.
  • Act as a Business Process Subject Matter Expert, collaborating with IT to recommend process improvements and support change management.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement, prioritize initiatives, and manage their implementation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to streamline activities, introduce process metrics, staffing models, and controls.
  • Understand IT data sources to generate, validate, and discuss data sources and their validity.
  • Build relationships with Claims Handlers, IT, Data, actuarial departments, and other key internal teams.
  • Lead MI/BI projects to support data generation and insights, with a strong understanding of processes.
  • Engage in ongoing MI/BI projects focusing on data interpretation and generation.
  • Emphasize training on Claims Craftsmanship modules, MI/BI systems, data manipulation, and digital innovations.
  • Stay up-to-date through self-study to ensure sustainable knowledge.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, agility, teamwork, lean & Six Sigma mindset, and long-term business thinking.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in English and one or two other relevant languages (German/French/Spanish preferred).
  • University degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent.
  • Strong execution, accountability, and ability to explain complex matters simply.
  • Analytical thinking at a regional level, anticipating trends and developing hypotheses.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, capable of leading meetings under tight deadlines and pressure.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Insurance or similar industry.
  • Good cultural understanding of the EMEA region.
