Job description

We are looking for aprincipal witha Master's in education who canoversee the running of our Elementary School

At Mountainview, we use an American curriculum taught from a biblical worldview, and all instruction is in English. We are fully accredited with ACSI and WASC. The majority of our students are native or near-native English-speaking students, but they come from a wide variety of nations. Approximately 20% are from the United States, 40% are from South Korea, and 26% are from Indonesia. The majority of our students are children of Christian Service workers.

Currently, we have 230 students in kindergarten to 12th grade, with one class per grade level. Our elementary and secondary buildings are on the same campus, along with two gymnasiums, a fitness room, locker rooms, an 8-lane swimming pool, two playgrounds, a soccer field, a sports track, and a dormitory.

Mountainview is located in a “small town” in Central Java, which provides lovely mountain scenery, a moderate tropical climate, and amazing local culture. Most of our staff live within a 10-minute walk of campus and enjoy close friendships with colleagues and community members.

Because we are a Christian-service-oriented school, we strongly recommend that our teachers search for support from a church or sending agency to supplement what the school provides. Our school does provide many benefits, including housing, health insurance, tuition for the children of teachers, and a monthly stipend, but it is not a typical teacher salary. You should be aware of this need to raise support to determine if this setting fits your needs.
