Job summary

Sampoerna Academy Sentul invites applications for an Elementary English Language and Reading (ELAR) Teacher for AY 26/27. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in English Language or related field and teaching Cambridge curriculum in international schools.

Applicants should have fluent English with strong writing skills and a minimum of 5 years of English teaching experience, including ESL/EAL experience. Immediate start in Sep 2026 is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English Language, Language Arts, Education, or a related field relevant to primary teaching.
• Fluent English proficiency with clear spoken communication and strong writing skills.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience teaching English, including experience with First Language English, English Language Arts, or a comparable literacy-based curriculum.
• Experience teaching the Cambridge curriculum in a private or international school.
• ESL/EAL teaching experience is an advantage.
• Google Certified Educator Level 1 preferred, or demonstrated experience using digital learning platforms such as Google Workspace for Education, Microsoft 365, Canvas, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high quality lessons to meet Cambridge curriculum standards.
• Develop students’ critical thinking skills through purposeful classroom learning activities.
• Establish and maintain a positive, well‑managed classroom environment.
• Assess and monitor student performance, progress, and development.
• Differentiate teaching to meet students’ academic, social, and learning needs, including those of high‑achieving students.
