PT Freeport Indonesia Inc. is seeking a Smelter Operation Readiness Superintendent for the Electrorefinery to lead day-to-day operations in Gresik, East Java.

You will drive safe, efficient refining, ensure product purity targets, and coordinate cross-functional teams to optimize processes and costs. The role requires a strong leadership background, expertise in electrorefining chemistry, and the ability to manage complex operations under regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Ten years of experience in refinery, metallurgical, or electrolytic operations, with supervisory or leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day‑to‑day operations within the electrorefinery area.
• Ensure safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance across processes.
• Oversee process optimization, maintenance coordination, and cost targets.
• Develop Supervisors and technical staff; drive continuous improvement.
• Achieve high-purity metal production (99–99.99%).
• Collaborate with maintenance, electrical, and instrumentation teams to ensure equipment availability.
