Grand Canyon National Park Lodges operates 6 hotels, 7 retail shops, and various restaurants and dining facilities in the historic Grand Canyon Village. We’re hiring an Electrician to Live. Work. Explore. at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon!

Job Summary:

The Electrician will perform service repairs on electrical and gas-fired appliances, equipment, and facilities at the Grand Canyon!

The Details:

  • Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
  • Pay: $18.65+ per hour depending on experience

Housing: A private room in a shared apartment, $267/month, payroll-deducted
Schedule: Typically 40 hours, 5 days/week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities:
  • Complete work orders and repairs promptly, maintaining cost-effectiveness for electrical and gas-fired equipment and facilities.
  • Evaluate equipment condition, recommend repairs or replacements, diagnose malfunctions, and advise management on safety and efficiency.
  • Oversee work order completion and documentation, ensuring accuracy.
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance.
  • Assist with installation of electrical and gas-fired equipment.
  • Follow all safety and electrical codes.
  • Work from ladders, scaffolds, and lifts to install, maintain, or repair equipment.
  • Participate in safety training courses within 3 months.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Four years of experience as an Electrician.
  • Ability to work with voltages from 0-480 volts (and up to 1200k volts where applicable).
  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
  • Ability to read and draw schematics and diagrams.
  • Ability to distinguish transformer types.
  • Accurate estimating skills.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting control circuits with testing equipment.
  • Experience repairing electrical and gas-fired kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to bend conduits and install residential wiring.
  • Ability to install 3-way and 4-way switches.
  • Perform limited electrical motor repairs.
  • Valid Arizona Driver’s License within 90 days.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks, including working in confined spaces and on ladders.
