Job summary

SRT Marine Systems plc is hiring an Electrical Systems Installation Engineer in Jakarta to support field teams and subcontractors. You will review and create electrical installation schematics for radar, genset, CCTV, and monitoring systems, and coach engineers both remotely and onsite to meet high-quality standards.

The role requires 5+ years in a senior role, fluency in English, and willingness to travel internationally for installations and site support across the Indonesian region.

Qualifications

Our in-country office is located in Jakarta and as our Electrical Systems Installation Engineer you WILL be expected to work both from this location and ALL of our sites throughout the Indonesian region - regular travel is an essential part of this role.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experiencedElectrical Systems Installation Engineerto provide remote and in-person support to our field installation teams and subcontractors. Your role will be to create, review and check electrical installation schematics and plans for a wide variety of equipment ranging from a maritime surveillance radar, to a genset, or CCTV security and building monitoring systems.

Your job as our Electrical Systems Installation Engineerwill entail reviewing proposed engineering designs proposed by sub-contractors, inspecting and reviewing completed work to ensure quality standards and completing reports, and training and coaching field engineers both remotely and onsite to conduct work to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities- Electrical Systems Installation Engineer(not exhaustive):

• Review and approve proposed electrical installation configurations for a variety of equipment that rely upon electrical utility and power systems.
• Physically oversee and or undertake installations.
• Train and coach field engineering teams to ensure high quality and consistent workmanship.
• Help build and maintain standard work procedures and standards.
• Review equipment installations, identify issues and propose remedial work.
• Where relevant, deeply understand equipment installation and configuration requirements to enable correct commissioning.
• Ensure all installations comply with technical standards, safety protocols, and project specifications.
• Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance of all integrated systems.
• Document installation procedures and generate detailed reports for project stakeholders.
• Help to devise and define long term maintenance programs that ensure systems and equipment are operate optimally and reliably.

Requirements- Electrical Systems Installation Engineer

• ESSENTIAL - Proven experience in electrical installations – for example integrated CCTV and building monitoring systems, building power systems and or communication towers - minimum 5 years in a senior/leadership position
• ESSENTIAL - Strong understanding of electrical standards, safety regulations, and networking fundamentals
• ESSENTIAL - Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, server rack layouts, and technical drawings, schematics, standards and specifications
• ESSENTIAL- Professional English language - spoken and written - this will be assessed
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to travel internationally for installations and on-site support
