About the job: Electrical - Mechanical Maintenance Head

PT Mahindra Accelo Steel Indonesia (PT. MASI) is a subsidiary of Mahindra Intertrade Limited (MIL), India. MIL is part of the renowned Mahindra & Mahindra Group. PT. MASI was incorporated on December 19, 2018, in Indonesia, aiming to establish an electrical steel service centre in DS 8, Lippo Cikarang.

The proposed facility will span 10,000 square meters, with an annual processing capacity of 25,200 tonnes. This state-of-the-art plant will manufacture CRGO laminations and slits, offering comprehensive services from sourcing to customized JIT delivery solutions, and will redefine supply chain models in the region, supported by Nippon Steel Corporation, Japan.

Raw materials will be sourced from Japan. The steel service centre will serve electric transformer manufacturers in Indonesia and nearby regions, providing end-to-end services such as sourcing, warehousing, yield optimization, forex risk management, SKU-wise delivery, and products including laminations, built cores, and profiles.

Requirements:

• 10-15 years of experience in related fields
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Strong electrical and mechanical skills
• Computer literacy (MS Excel, PowerPoint) is an advantage
• Fluency in English is an advantage
• Attention to detail and root cause analysis skills
• Ability to collaborate across departments as a team
• Understanding of electrical and mechanical maintenance for cutting, shearing, and slitting machines
• Knowledge of automation, PLC, servo, SCADA, CNC systems
• Knowledge of heavy-duty EOT crane maintenance
• Knowledge of compressors and utilities

Job Description:

• Manage daily electrical and mechanical maintenance of plant, building, infrastructure, and machines
• Contribute to strategic planning, review, and continuous improvement to meet operational goals
• Forecast requirements, prepare budgets, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions
• Maintain stable electrical supply, energy management systems, lighting, and security systems
• Design and implement electrical wiring for workstations and offices, including communication systems
• Respond to mechanical and electrical service requests, supporting engineering needs
• Ensure compliance with all relevant codes and regulations, advising management accordingly
• Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and review invoices for materials and equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, and schedule repairs
• Participate in educational and professional development activities
• Lead safety initiatives, liaising with government authorities on safety and environmental matters, and managing hazardous waste compliance
