Job Description

EHS Programs & Management System Responsibilities

  • Implement and integrate company EHS programs, developing facility-specific procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies.
  • Serve as company EHS Program Owner, leading the development or maintenance of procedures, standards, and training.
  • Develop and implement facility-level EHS management systems to maintain compliance, environmental protection, and safe operating conditions.
  • Manage the implementation and compliance of Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) standards across facilities.
  • Maintain accurate chemical inventories on BHive and BVe3 platforms, conduct risk assessments, and ensure safe chemical handling and storage.
  • Provide targeted training on ZDHC standards to relevant teams, promoting sustainability practices.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for EHS-related audits at Cikarang and FRU factories, including internal, external, and third-party inspections.
  • Maintain and standardize documentation to ensure audit readiness for both sites.
  • Lead corrective and preventive actions to address audit findings, fostering continuous EHS improvement.

Training, Resources & Counsel

  • Act as a resource for the site manager on EHS matters and as the daily point of contact for all EHS issues.
  • Assist management in understanding EHS regulations and standards, including compliance, inspections, and citations.
  • Organize and oversee EHS functions to maintain effective accident prevention programs and ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and directives.
  • Advise product and process engineers on integrating environmental health and safety principles to prevent hazards and environmental impacts.
  • Implement environmental, health, and safety education and training to meet regulatory and business needs.
  • Represent the plant in contractor-related PSM compliance matters.
  • Mentor facility safety teams, investigate releases, injuries, and near-misses, and manage related cases and recordkeeping.

Compliance & Safety Programs

  • Ensure compliance with all local and international EHS and maintenance regulations at both locations.
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to monitor EHS and maintenance performance.

Maintenance

  • Diagnose failures, replace defective components, and troubleshoot using standard tools and documentation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Chemical Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • 8+ years of EHS experience, including 5-6 years as an Engineering Manager in manufacturing, preferably printing or paper packaging.
  • Strong leadership, managerial, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of industrial safety, occupational EHS, and environmental leadership.
  • Detailed understanding of regulatory requirements, EHS policies, and standards.
  • Expertise in ZDHC standards, chemical management systems (BHive & BVE3), and TPM methodologies.
  • Experience in developing and managing ERT programs and EHS training initiatives.
  • Experience with TPM, CAPEX, and OPEX improvement initiatives.
