We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager to lead our business development and sales efforts in the Water Sector across Indonesia. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the water and wastewater industry, experience with industrial valve products, and a proven track record in B2B sales, especially to utilities, contractors, EPCs, and government bodies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities in the water and wastewater sector.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients including water utilities, EPC contractors, consultants, and government agencies.
- Sales Strategy Execution: Implement the regional sales strategy aligned with company goals and market trends.
- Tender & Proposal Management: Lead the preparation of bids, proposals, and tenders for water infrastructure projects.
- Revenue Generation: Meet or exceed sales targets and grow the market share in the water segment.
- Product Knowledge: Provide technical advice and product support on valve solutions for the water sector.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and after-sales teams to ensure client satisfaction and project success.
- Market Intelligence: Track competitor activity, pricing trends, and project pipelines.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate sales forecasts, reports, and CRM updates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the water sector or industrial valves industry.
- Strong network in the water utilities and infrastructure space in Indonesia.
- Proven track record of closing large-scale B2B or infrastructure-related sales.
- Familiarity with local and international standards (ISO, AWWA, JIS, etc.).
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English (both spoken and written).
- Willingness to travel domestically for client meetings and site visits.
- Experience working with or selling to PDAMs (Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum) or Ministry of Public Works and Housing.
- Background in valves, pumps, pipelines, or water treatment systems.
- Knowledge of project financing, tendering processes, and government procurement regulations in Indonesia.
