A leading company in the F&B industry is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee multiple cafes in Surabaya. The role involves ensuring operational efficiency, driving financial performance, and fostering a high-performance culture. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record in multi-unit management, strong leadership skills, and a passion for enhancing customer experience. This position requires frequent travel within the designated area and a valid driver’s license.
Operational Oversight & Program Execution:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of all cafes within the assigned area, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning according to brand standards.
Plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate retail programs and initiatives designed to enhance cafe performance and customer experience.
Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations across all locations.
Financial Performance & Revenue Growth:
Monitor, analyze, and take accountability for the financial performance (P&L, KPIs) of each cafe in the area.
Identify and actively seek opportunities to improve cafe revenue, control costs, and maximize profitability.
Develop and implement action plans to achieve sales targets and budget goals for the area.
Recruit, hire, onboard, train, coach, and manage Cafe Managers and support their team development efforts.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and manage employee relations issues effectively.
Handle disciplinary actions, including termination, in accordanceance with company policy and legal requirements.
Foster a positive, motivating, and high-performance work culture across the area.
Performance Evaluation & Standards:
Regularly evaluate overall cafe performance, including operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, product quality, and team morale.
Conduct cafe visits and audits to ensure standards are consistently met or exceeded.
Act as an escalation point for complex operational issues, customer complaints, and staff conflicts, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Reporting & Communication:
Prepare and present regular, detailed reports on area performance, challenges, and opportunities to the Business Partner.
Maintain clear and consistent communication between the cafes, support office functions, and the Business Partner.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of progressive management experience within the F&B industry, specifically including multi-unit/multi-outlet management.
Proven track record of successfully managing operations and achieving financial targets across multiple locations.
Strong understanding of cafe operations, financial performance metrics (P&L, KPIs), and reporting.
Demonstrated ability to lead, hire, train, motivate, manage performance, and develop teams across different locations.
Experience handling employee relations and disciplinary procedures, including termination.
Highly adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic industry environment.
Excellent problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
Strong business acumen with an innovative and creative mindset for driving improvement and growth.
Resilient, results-oriented, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in relevant software (POS systems, MS Office/Google Workspace).
Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel frequently within the designated area.
