Job Description
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with government officials, regulatory bodies, and industry associations such as SKK Migas, Customs, APROPIPE, and GUSPEN Migas.
- Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments affecting the oil and gas industry, including PTK 007, local content requirements, tender regulations, and sanctions.
- Advocate for the company's interests in discussions with government entities and stakeholders, including the Ministry of Industrial/P3DN.
- Prepare and submit regulatory filings, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Facilitate and coordinate the Master List issuance process between oil and gas operators and stakeholders such as SKK Migas, Dirjen Migas, EBTKE, Customs, and internal teams. Represent the company at industry conferences, public hearings, and meetings with government officials.
- Provide input to the Commercial team during tender preparation, as required. Develop and implement government relations strategies that align with the company's business objectives. Identify and assess potential risks and opportunities arising from government actions and policies.
- Advise senior management on the impact of legislative and regulatory changes on the company's operations and strategy.
- Draft position papers, policy briefs, and correspondence to articulate the company's stance on key issues. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment on policy positions.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on government relations activities and outcomes.
The Successful Applicant
- Able to work as a Single Contributor and collaborate with other departments.
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of TKDN processes and PTK007.
- A Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in government relations, public affairs, or a related role, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of government processes, regulatory frameworks, and public policy issues affecting the oil and gas as well as Energy sector.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively. Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with government officials, regulators, and industry stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
