Job description

Bali Children Foundation (BCF): Education to Employment

Starting in 2002, BCF has worked village by village to assist poor, remote, or disaster-affected communities. We collaborate with local leaders to introduce families to BCF and the opportunities our scholarships and curriculum offer.

Our vision is for disadvantaged communities in Bali and nearby islands to become socially, economically, and culturally empowered through education to employment pathways. Our mission is to enhance education standards for children in these regions, enabling better incomes for themselves, their families, and their communities.

BCF provides quality education in remote government SDN schools, including curriculum development, direct teaching, and extensive teacher training across Bali, Lombok, and West Sumba.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Management: Lead development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of education programs and curricula, focusing on English as a Foreign Language (EFL), STEAM-H, Early Childhood Education (ECE), and partnership programs like Pen Pal for Primary Schools and Teacher In a Box.
  • Monitor performance, produce reports, develop budgets, and support marketing and grant applications for these programs.
  • Oversee equipment and asset management at schools, ensuring regular updates and follow-up by staff.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to expand impactful community-based programs, ensuring alignment with BCF’s vision, mission, and strategic plan.
Leadership and Management
  • Provide guidance to the education team, build relationships with government and school stakeholders, and recruit and evaluate team performance.
Program Scheduling & Teacher Training
  • Create annual calendars, facilitate capacity-building, prepare for sponsor and donor visits, and coordinate school upgrade projects.
  • Schedule and lead teacher training, design implementation processes, and review program goals, proposing improvements as needed.
Monitoring & Evaluation
  • Conduct classroom observations, analyze data, maintain documentation, and prepare reports to inform program improvements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English Education, TESOL, Early Childhood, Primary Education, Science/STEM, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in leading educational program development, teacher training, and program monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with the Indonesian education system, regional contexts, and proficiency in English.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, facilitation, communication, and intercultural skills.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to remote areas and relocate to Bali if not already based there.
