Title and Summary

Position: Director, Account Management

Overview:
Reporting to the FI Head Sales, Indonesia, this role offers the opportunity to manage all aspects of the Mastercard relationship with assigned customers in Indonesia.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, commercially pragmatic business developer with strong relationship management and influencing skills. The incumbent will partner with customer and Mastercard cross-functional teams to create and implement impactful payment programs that maximize segment penetration and drive Mastercard and bank revenues.
This position requires strong execution focus and solid experience in the Financial Institution / Payments industry, gained in Business Development or Product Management. Comfort with technology is essential.
This is an individual contributor (IC) role.

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain primary responsibility for managing the relationship and profitability of target customers.
  2. Manage all account management and business development activities for the customer set.
  3. Design and execute strategic and tactical plans to enhance customer and Mastercard profitability.
  4. Develop strong relationships with key influencers at customer banks and Mastercard support teams.
  5. Collaborate with Mastercard cross-functional teams to identify new segment and product opportunities and develop tailored propositions to maximize segment penetration.
  6. Leverage Mastercard brand sponsorships, products, and services to deliver exceptional customer value.
  7. Handle all administrative and operational issues for the target customer set.
  8. Manage and develop new and existing products, programs, and services as needed.
  9. Conduct market research and opportunity assessments for new concepts and ideas, evaluating their viability in support of market strategy.
  10. Recommend market strategies, including pricing, market introduction, profit planning, and budgeting.
Qualifications:
  1. Experience in Business Development, Account, or Product Management.
  2. Preferred experience within the Indonesia Financial Institution industry domain.
  3. Ability to integrate knowledge across disciplines such as Sales, Product, Marketing, Operations, and Risk.
