Job description

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the execution of mining infrastructure and facilities projects, including site preparation, earthworks, roads, camps, workshops, substations, and other supporting utilities. The ideal candidate has a strong background in civil and structural works in remote environments, with solid leadership skills and a hands-on approach to managing contractors, schedules, and safety compliance.

Description

1. Manage all activities related to construction works such as site infrastructure, earthwork, temporary facilities, civil work, etc., from planning through execution and completion.
2. Coordinate with project management, engineering, procurement, and HSE teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
3. Lead and supervise contractors and subcontractors on site to ensure work is carried out according to specifications, quality standards, and schedule.
4. Review construction drawings, method statements, and work packages; ensure proper implementation on site.
5. Monitor progress, identify risks, and resolve issues that may affect timeline or safety.
6. Ensure strict compliance with company and site-specific HSE policies and mining regulations.
7. Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders to provide regular updates and reports.
8. Oversee quality inspections, handover procedures, and final commissioning of infrastructure and facilities.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in managing construction projects, preferably in mining or heavy industry.
• At least POP certification is required.
• Proven leadership skills in previous roles.
• Strong technical knowledge in design and construction methods, including civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical works.
• Excellent understanding of mining business processes and risk management.
• Willingness to be on site with rotation.
