As an Accounts Executive, you will be part of the Finance shared services team responsible for accounting and management reporting functions for Sonoco plants in Malaysia. Your responsibilities include:

1. Being part of the Finance Share Service team.
2. Preparing the monthly management account of the plant.
3. Participating in the yearly preparation of the budget.
4. Preparing monthly financial forecasts.
5. Managing credit control against customers.
6. Liaising with bankers, auditors, and tax agents when needed.
7. Maintaining standard costs of raw materials for accurate product costing.
8. Participating in monthly stock takes and inventory reconciliation.
9. Processing and reconciling Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Journal Vouchers, and General Ledger.
10. Reconciliation of General Ledger and Sub-ledger accounts monthly.
11. Performing other finance-related assignments or projects as instructed.

Education/Academic Background:

Bachelor Degree in Accounting or full/partial professional accounting qualification.

Experience:

Minimum 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in coordinating with external auditors, tax agents, and government agencies is an advantage.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Understanding of manufacturing or cost accounting principles.
• Ability to handle full set of accounts.
• Knowledge of Oracle ERP system is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive.
• Good data analysis, patience, and tolerance.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills in English and Mandarin.
• Own transportation is required.
