Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor and ensure the quality of food preparation, service (appearance, taste, cleanliness, sanitation), service areas, and equipment.
- Supervise and participate in the production and plating of food in the service area to maintain high quality standards.
- Ensure all dishes are cooked properly and presented aesthetically.
- Construct menus with new or existing culinary creations, ensuring variety and quality.
- Plan menus and set prices, adjusting based on ingredient availability.
- Handle administrative tasks, including inventory of food and equipment supplies and placing purchase orders.
- Manage monthly inventory and ensure cost-efficient operations.
- Maintain kitchen equipment; schedule repairs and maintenance as needed.
- Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for compliance with standards.
- Gather feedback on food and service quality; address customer problems and complaints.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality, preferably with a culinary major.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as Head Chef in a five-star hotel or reputable restaurant group.
- Experience abroad as a Chef is preferred.
- Expertise in food costing and COGS reports.
- Strong planning, organizing, problem-solving, staff management, and time management skills.
- Ability to develop effective and efficient standard operating procedures for the kitchen.
