Reporting To

Operations & Solutions Manager - Excitation

Your Role and Responsibilities

As an ABB Excitation Commissioning Engineer with low to medium complexity, you will ensure the efficient and cost-effective completion of all commissioning activities, in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. The work model for this role is: onsite. This position contributes to the Process Automation Energy Business in Jakarta, Indonesia.

1. Contribute to planning and implementation of commissioning activities.
2. Support and coordinate installation/commissioning activities with the Installation Supervisor / Site Manager.
3. Participate in internal project review meetings and provide inputs on commissioning activities.
4. Coordinate site activities focused on finalizing customer acceptance certification.
5. Identify and recommend effective solutions to meet business and customer needs.
6. Provide relevant information related to commissioning assignments and meetings with customers, and give feedback to apply lessons learned.
7. Support continuous improvement of project processes, product, or system design.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or related disciplines.
• Minimum of 5+ years' experience in Excitation & Electrical Systems, with knowledge in ABB Excitation (UNITROL) & Electrical Systems.
• Good understanding of Excitation Systems, MV & LV Switchgears, Transformers & Protection Relays.
• Experience in Maintenance, Testing & Commissioning, FAT, SAT in Excitation & Electrical Systems.
• Preferably, experience in Oil, Gas & Chemical plants, Offshore, Power & Water Industries.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills in English.
• Certification in ABB excitation system commissioning is an advantage.
