The traineeship duration varies upon business requirements and aims to develop the general skills of the trainee, providing on-the-job knowledge and technical experience. Positions require understanding of concepts, methods, and procedures.

Assist in executing daily repair engineering tasks by supporting workflow optimization, collaborating with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges, analyzing data to identify improvement areas, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of engineering processes.
Job Description
General Responsibilities
- Understand overall gas power and PT GENTS business processes, with a basic understanding of key business drivers; use this understanding to accomplish own work based on SQDCP bases. Gain a good understanding of how the work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
- Broaden knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy, including support roles with specialized technical knowledge; still acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills.
- Support day-to-day operations, define and control production processes including tooling and equipment. Validate design specifications and shop floor applications of new products, tools, or equipment.
- Have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolve issues requiring good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consult more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions or parameters.
- Possess good interpersonal skills and may be required to lead a team. For customer-facing roles, develop strong customer relationships and serve as the interface between customer and GE. Explain technical information to others.
- Identify, propose, and execute specific projects for final reporting.
Repair Job Scope Management & Job Execution
- Assess and validate repair scopes from Contractual Service Agreements (CSA) and Transactional (TX) customers to ensure alignment with technical requirements.
- Prepare and submit repair scope documents, technical justifications, and cost impact assessments for formal engineering review and approval.
- Address engineering feedback, propose alternatives if required, and ensure final approval before proceeding with repairs.
- Communicate any deviations from standard repair processes and collaborate to develop engineering-approved solutions.
- Prepare and submit detailed repair condition reports and final repair reports, documenting inspection findings, repair processes, deviations, and outcomes to ensure transparency, compliance with technical standards, and customer satisfaction.
Productivity & Continuous Improvement
Implement lean manufacturing concepts and mindset, along with continuous improvement in daily operations.
- Participate in related kaizen events.
- Demonstrate problem-solving within internal teams and cross-functional teams.
- Maintain detailed records of expenditures, materials, and labor time to identify cost drivers and inefficiencies.
- Implement tracking systems to automate cost and labor hour monitoring.
- Identify areas for process improvement to enhance process cost efficiency.
- Conduct periodic reviews of cost trends and labor utilization reports to make data-driven decisions.
Qualifications / Minimum Requirements
- Fresh graduates up to 1 year of experience.
- BS in Engineering – Mechanical, Materials/Metallurgy, Industrial, or related engineering background preferred.
- Active listener with good communication skills in English.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Proactive with a high level of integrity.
- Strives to achieve project goals and customer satisfaction.
- A team player with the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 Standard (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) is a plus.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other CAD software for technical drawings is a plus.
- Ability to interpret engineering data, test results, and quality reports for documentation.
- Ability to write clear, concise, and structured technical documents.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
