A leading company in the mining sector is seeking a Special Operations Supervisor to oversee coal hauling operations, ensuring safety and productivity. The role involves supervising technical aspects, maintaining communication with teams, and managing safety standards. Candidates must have a relevant degree and significant experience in mining operations.
The Special Operations Supervisor is part of the Operations Team and will be responsible for:
Maintaining the highest level of safety and productivity in coal hauling activities.
Supervising, monitoring, and controlling coal hauling operations, including technical aspects, planning, hauling, road maintenance, and resource allocation.
Ensuring regular communication with subordinates, supervisors, and other departments.
Participating in the development and opening of new projects related to mining operations.
This position interacts with contractors and liaises with related departments. It requires strong leadership, self-motivation, proficiency in mining technical software, and good communication skills to support the job and manage all related parties for optimal achievement and continuous improvement.
Upholding the company's standards and values, promoting compliance with quality standards.
Promoting safety awareness and best practices to ensure a safe work environment according to Adaro QHSE standards.
Designing special operation activities supporting operations, such as road design, bridge construction, culvert installation, road surface improvements, and new road development.
Supervising special operations and providing technical recommendations.
Monitoring and controlling coal hauling activities to optimize travel time and meet production targets, including minimizing coal contamination and loss.
Developing and maintaining efficient operating procedures and practices, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Providing reports on coal hauling activities and conducting effective handover meetings to ensure ongoing operational success.
Ensuring training and competency matrices are in place and implemented within the Mining & Engineering Department.
Managing operational safety (KO) for mining and hauling activities and supporting safety management systems.
Being responsible to the Technical Mine Manager for the safety of all subordinate mine workers.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or Civil Engineering.
Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in mining operations.
At least 1 year of experience in road maintenance, construction, or civil/bridge construction.
Expertise in drawing/design software (AutoCAD).
Proficiency in mining software (Minescape/Minex).
Commitment to the highest HSE standards.
Experience with long-distance hauling roads and civil construction.
Ability to work on a shift basis.
Ability to work effectively in a team.
