Job Description

What will you work on?

• Work with vendors and headquarters on product design to meet target costs.
• Carry out product development, engineering, and debugging to meet product specifications and aesthetic requirements.
• Handle the sourcing and cost negotiation of consigned materials and special components.
• Provide technical support and debugging for consigned materials as needed.
• Support internal teams on production issues and material authorization reviews.
• Monitor schedules and provide on-site support from development start to OSD.
• Provide manufacturing support after production start.
• Perform ad hoc assignments as required.

What are your skills and experience?

• At least 5-8 years’ experience in the toy industry or consumer electronics, with independent project handling for at least 5 years.
• Knowledge of toy industry standards across different countries.
• Willingness to travel frequently to other cities as required.
• Ability to review 3D CAD files and working models, conducting DFM/DFA to ensure manufacturability, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Understanding of plastic injection molds, casting mold construction, and molding parameters.
• Ability to troubleshoot injection molding defects and implement corrective actions.
• Knowledge of surface decoration techniques such as spray painting, tampo printing, heat transfer, and DIJ.
• Understanding of assembly processes like ultrasonic welding, gluing, heat staking, and automation.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Proactive, flexible, team-oriented, and results-driven attitude.
• Proficiency in English is required; Mandarin/Cantonese skills are an advantage.
