Direct Purchasing (Buyer) - Electrical Component

Identify and select qualified suppliers for overseas and local purchases.

Understand sourcing strategies for overseas and worldwide suppliers at the initial stage for localization purposes (assembly process and/or total localization).

Develop localization opportunities and expand the sourcing base.

Continuously analyze the local supply base to determine qualified sources capable of supporting company operations.

Implement purchasing policies and procedures of PSC.

Negotiate contracts and develop analytical tools to make supplier selection as objective as possible.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Identify and work on part cost reduction activities to meet savings targets.

Manage quality and service issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in purchasing/procurement activities with strong fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
• Experience/background in battery sourcing (battery cells and packs) is an advantage.
• Experience with VA/VE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering), benchmarking, and other cost reduction tools.
• Experience handling electric components for EV motors, MCUs (Controllers), DC/DC converters, speedometers/TFTs, lights/lamps, connectors, and switches.
• Strong negotiation skills to build trust with overseas suppliers, including commercial terms, payment terms, and development support.
• Experience sourcing vendors from China is an advantage.
