Job description

R.O.L.E. Foundation is looking for a passionate and action-oriented Marine and Environmental Educator to lead marine conservation programs, coral restoration initiatives, and environmental education for students, schools, and the wider community.

Responsibilities

  • Lead marine conservation activities, including coral garden monitoring, coral planting, and environmental research.
  • Organize monthly beach cleanups and manage waste separation and documentation.
  • Develop and deliver engaging education sessions on marine biodiversity and environmental sustainability.
  • Coordinate with schools, community groups, and partner organizations for outreach and collaboration.
  • Engaging with local communities to promote sustainable practices.
  • Supervise and support interns and volunteers involved in marine and environmental programs, together with the program manager.
  • Create reports and administration.

Requirements

  • A background in Marine Biology, Environmental Science, Education, or a related field.
  • Experience or strong interest in coral restoration, ocean conservation, or environmental research.
  • Able to swim and snorkel confidently in open water, scuba diving certification (e.g., PADI Open Water) is a plus.
  • Strong communication and writing skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
  • A passion for protecting the ocean and educating the next generation.
  • A proactive and collaborative attitude, and comfortable working outdoors.
  • Currently living or willing to relocate to Bali, Indonesia.

Salary: Rp3,500,000 – Rp5,000,000/month
