Project-based Customs Specialist/Lead (WFH available)

The project involves the export of aluminum products from Indonesia (originating from Indonesia) to a third country for further processing, followed by re-importation back to Indonesia. We seek candidates capable of managing customs-related tasks, with mature and successful experience in similar projects.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Connecting with authoritative, experienced, and trustworthy professionals and companies in the industry; preparing the feasibility plan and confirming project details.
2. Preparing executable schemes and formulating schedules based on communications with professionals and institutions.
3. Managing classification and storage of documents and receipts, and sharing them with core personnel.
4. If necessary, liaising with customs officials to assess the feasibility of the project and related matters.

This is a project-based position, not requiring daily office presence. Travel may be involved according to a pre-planned schedule. Preference is for candidates based in Surabaya; other locations will be considered based on professional experience.

Post-launch, additional responsibilities may arise, and discussions regarding salary and benefits will continue accordingly.

Preferred attributes for candidates include:

• Age over 35 with a minimum of 8 years’ experience as a customs specialist or similar background.
• Good communication skills; well-connected within the relevant industry is a plus.
• Ability to establish good relationships with customs authorities is advantageous.
• Experience as a customs specialist in similar projects is preferred.
• Proven ability to develop projects from inception to completion.
• Successful experience and capability are highly valued.
• Long-term commitment is preferred; short-term trials are not acceptable.
