Job description

Role Description

Early Years is a dynamic, energetic and community-minded Learning Neighborhood within the bigger Green School Bali community. With around 73 children across ages 3 to Kindergarten, our teaching team brings a sense of fun and adventure as well as deep programmatic expertise to the wonderful role of igniting young learners to love learning.

We are looking for a passionate Early Years educator to engage our young learners in creative, purposeful and holistic learning experiences, through play, exploration, and communication. Working in partnership with their EY colleagues, this specialist caters for diverse student learning styles and needs, through the application of a wide range of teaching techniques, in a way that is inviting and even joyful to the child. This educator must be comfortable interacting with a diverse cultural population and language abilities. This position reports to the Head of Lower School and collaborates with the whole Early Years teaching team.

AS AN EDUCATOR, ARE YOU?
Position Criteria

  • Is a master of integration of skills, values and wellbeing programs into daily learning.
  • Is a creative and collaborative educator with deep experience in thematic and project-based learning.
  • Monitors, assesses, records and reports student learning outcomes, applying comprehensive systems of authentic assessment and reporting in relation to student attainment of skills, goals, that are holistic in nature and inclusive.
  • Has a high level of English proficiency.
  • Prior International teaching or working experience preferred with evidence of cultural integration, competency, and language acquisition.
  • Is skilled in using, explaining and developing holistic or other non-traditional curriculum models, including overall class planning.
  • Is a positive, confident and professional communicator who can engage in courageous conversations when needed.
  • Has a toolkit of differentiation techniques that meet the needs of individual learners.
  • Is creative, optimistic and effective when it comes to student Behavior Development.
  • Has a growth mindset - can reflect critically upon professional experiences in order to enhance professional effectiveness, contribute to the development of a learning community and engage in professional learning activities that promote and enhance the development of the Early Years Learning Neighborhood.

Other Requirements (by Indonesian Law)

  • Must hold at least a Bachelor degree in Counseling, Psychology or other related field
  • Must have experience teaching in that field for a minimum of 5 years.
  • Must be able to pass a HIV test (legally required).
  • Must not have any previous criminal convictions (legally required).
  • Must not have any Child Protection concerns on file at previous schools or workplaces.
  • Must be able to provide an original copy of certifications, transcripts, diploma and/or degrees (legally required).
  • Any successful candidate must be willing to learn and communicate in Bahasa Indonesia.
