We are currently embarking on our next stage of aggressive expansion which includes entry into additional markets within the region of South East Asia. We expect to quickly grow to >1,000 stores across the region and then potentially look at listing options.

We are looking for a Tax Supervisor to be based in Jakarta to oversee the Tax Section. You shall report to the Indonesia Finance Team Lead who is based in Malaysia.

Job Description:
  1. Calculation of Withholding Tax (WHT) 23, 4(2), 26, 21 including billing code preparation, submission, and WHT slip preparation.
  2. Calculation of Value Added Tax (VAT) for overseas transactions including billing code preparation and submission.
  3. PB1 (restaurant tax) compliance including registration of new stores for PB1, creation of billing code, submission of PB1 report, and other reports requested by the local authority related to PB1.
  4. Signage tax compliance including registration of new stores for signage tax, creation of billing code, submission of signage tax report, and other reports requested by local authorities related to signage tax.
  5. Preparation and submission of related tax reports according to applicable regulations (excluding annual corporate income tax report).
  6. Sending WHT slips as requested by suppliers and landlords.
  7. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant tax laws and policies.
  8. Represent the organization during tax audits and litigation processes if needed.
  9. Prepare monthly and annual tax compliance reports, conduct Tax Due Diligence (TDR), and provide tax advisory and litigation support.
  10. Ensure all Tax Data and/or Documents are properly archived.
Required Skills:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Tax, or Master's Degree in Tax/Accounting/Finance or related field.
  2. Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar position, preferably with experience in tax for retail F&B.
  3. Experience as a Tax Consultant is a plus.
  4. Good understanding of software from Tax Authorities (Core Tax & DJP).
  5. Ability to prepare Transfer Pricing Documents and all supporting documents needed.
  6. Ability to conduct Tax Equalization and Tax Reconciliation for both WHT and VAT.
  7. Ability to manage Monthly and Annual Tax Compliance activities.
  8. Knowledge of Tax Audit, Tax Objection, Tax Appeal, and Tax Supreme Court processes.
  9. Understanding of Local Taxes such as withholding Tax (WHT) 23, 4(2), 26, 21, PB1, and Signage Tax.
  10. Proficiency in English (speaking, writing, reading, listening).
  11. Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  12. Possession of Tax Brevet Certificates A, B, and C is an advantage.
  13. Knowledge of SAP system is an added advantage.
