Our client, a pre-opening international restaurant in Uluwatu that specializes in Greek and Mediterranean cuisine, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounting Manager to establish and oversee the restaurants financial operations.
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for setting up accounting systems, ensuring compliance with local regulations, managing budgets, and supporting the leadership team in achieving financial targets ahead of and after the grand opening.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CA) are a plus.
- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in an Accounting department in the hospitality, preferably international brands.
- Experience working with pre-opening projects in the restaurant or hotel industry is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of Indonesian tax laws and financial regulations.
- Familiarity with restaurant accounting software and POS systems integration.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced pre-opening environment.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is an advantage.
- Willing to be based full-time in Uluwatu, Bali.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all accounting operations, including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
- Develop and implement financial policies, systems, and procedures to ensure the restaurants compliance with Indonesian accounting standards and company policies.
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Manage cash flow forecasting and budgeting to support daily operations and strategic planning.
- Monitor internal controls to safeguard the restaurant's assets and ensure efficient financial operations.
- Collaborate with the General Manager and Executive Chef for operational budgeting, cost control, and profitability analysis.
- Handle taxation matters, including VAT and corporate tax filings, in compliance with Indonesian regulations.
- Set up financial systems for a pre-opening project, including POS integration, inventory management, and supplier invoicing.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities as needed.
- Train and supervise accounting staff, ensuring a high-performing finance team is established before and after opening.
- Support procurement and supply chain teams by reviewing supplier contracts and financial terms.
- Perform financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for operational improvements.
