The Engineering Manager will support the Board of Management on matters related to:
- Successful implementation of the investments (safety, environment, capacity or quality-related), in terms of costs and timings.
- Maintenance strategy and plans, in order to ensure the required availability and reliability of installations at the lowest possible cost, taking into account both legal and brewery regulations.
- Improvement of technical staff's skills and capabilities, proposing training programs, recruitment, and succession plans, responsible for many aspects of the production plants' design and construction from initial design work through to the installation of additional brewing components and maintenance schedule.
- Design procedures for responding to mechanical failure.
- Create a preventative maintenance plan.
- Gradually improve the production line.
- Continuous improvements to the equipment and workflow of the production line to improve production capacity, efficiency, reliability, and safety.
- Recommend a yearly maintenance budget: an estimate of maintenance costs and manage a budget.
Key Accountabilities:
- Steer, monitor, and control the implementation of the investment plans at the brewery.
- Work in close collaboration with all managers, which is related to:
- Design, implement and develop planned maintenance systems (including an effective and cost-efficient spare parts management).
- Lead cost-effectiveness leadership within the department.
- Lead the energy saving programs at the sites.
- Set up the maintenance governance (meetings, deliverables) and KPIs.
- Lead the successful implementation of Kaizen in the technical departments, by guiding and supporting the Technical Director at the brewery.
- Collaboration with SHE Coordinator to design and implement safe working procedures for own employees and contractors.
- Improve all related processes for quality improvement.
- Contribute to the company's health & safety policy.
- Support the Technical Director in re-designing the technical organizations.
- Set up and implement the necessary training programs.
- Make purchasing decisions for the brewery.
- Manage parts and equipment inventories.
- Regularly inspect equipment.
- Keep the workshop spaces in order.
- Keep work areas safe.
- Keep records of all procedures, maintenance schedules, projects & risk assessments.
