Job title: IT System and Network Admin

Experience: Between 15 to 20 years

Certifications: Microsoft, Cisco

Description of Role: System and Network Administrator responsible for the smooth and secure operation of an organization’s IT infrastructure, encompassing both systems and network aspects, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and security.

Key Responsibilities and Scope:

1. Network Infrastructure:
   • Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
   • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network devices like routers, switches, and firewalls.
   • Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions.
   • Ensure network security by implementing and maintaining firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security measures.
   • Manage network user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
2. System Administration:
   • Install, configure, and maintain servers and operating systems.
   • Manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings on servers.
   • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
   • Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures.
   • Install, configure, and maintain applications and software on servers and client machines.
3. General IT Support:
   • Provide technical support to end-users.
   • Document system and network configurations and procedures.
   • Stay up to date with the latest technologies and security threats.
   • Participate in IT projects and initiatives.
4. Security:
   • Implement and maintain security policies and procedures.
   • Monitor network and security system logs for suspicious activity.
   • Respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities.
