Team Introduction: TikTok Product Team

The TikTok product team is dedicated to developing ByteDance’s international video business and building industry-leading products. Our responsibilities include:

  1. Live: Developing and maintaining TikTok Live features.
  2. Local Services: Expanding TikTok’s reach and relevance in local markets.
  3. User Growth: Attracting and retaining users globally.
  4. User Products: Creating and improving user-centric features and experiences.
  5. Author Products: Enhancing tools and features for creators.
  6. Search Products: Optimizing search capabilities within the platform.
  7. Business Analysis: Analyzing data and trends to inform product decisions.
  8. Service Architecture: Designing and maintaining the technical infrastructure.
  9. Basic Technology: Implementing and improving fundamental technologies.

Job Description: Product Manager

We are seeking talented individuals to join our product team in 2025. As a graduate, you will have the opportunity to launch your career, pursue bold ideas, and explore limitless growth opportunities.

Responsibilities:
  1. Plan, initiate, and manage information technology projects for mobile and web-based products and platforms.
  2. Lead the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative tools, platforms, and/or products.
  3. Drive product development with teams of world-class engineers and designers, ensuring a healthy and productive team environment.
  4. Collaborate closely with various teams to drive product vision, define product requirements, coordinate resources (design, legal, etc.), and guide the team through key milestones.
  5. Integrate usability studies, research, and market analysis into product requirements to improve engineer productivity and enhance user satisfaction.
  6. Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products. Identify and track key performance metrics.
  7. Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment, where the process is fluid, and creative solutions are the norm.
Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Foundational understanding of product management or product design, demonstrated through coursework, projects, or internships.
  2. Experience analyzing data sets as part of academic projects, coursework, or internships, with the ability to draw insights and make data-informed recommendations.
  3. Experience gathering and translating requirements through academic group projects or internships, with the ability to contribute to the development of product solutions.
  4. Basic technical proficiency with analytical tools, methodologies, and design principles, gained through coursework, projects, or relevant experience.
  5. Strong communication skills demonstrated through presentations, group projects, or internships.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Experience identifying significant opportunities and driving product vision, strategies, and roadmaps in the context of broader organizational strategies and goals.
  2. Experience going through a full product life-cycle, integrating customer feedback into product requirements, driving prioritization, and pre/post-launch execution.
  3. Proven ability to be enthusiastic and resilient in a constantly evolving environment in which the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm.
