BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (CONSTRUCTION CHEMICALS)
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in economics with a focus on engineering.
Preferably with a mixed background in Sales, Marketing, and Technical fields.
At least eight (8) years of relevant work experience, including five (5) years in construction chemicals B2B & B2C, Mining B2B, or DIY (Modern Trade) segments.
Must have a strong working knowledge of technical sales.
Extensive customer network within the relevant segments.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Strong numeracy skills for data analysis.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research and develop a comprehensive business plan (market size, market share, competition, pricing, product, and sales strategy) for construction chemicals (B2B & B2C), Mining (B2B), and DIY (Modern Trade) segments within an approved timeframe.
- Review, analyze, and propose a product range tailored to specific segments.
- Identify market opportunities through meetings, networking, and other channels.
- Analyze, prepare, and submit monthly reports on business performance, competitive activities, market conditions, concerns, opportunities, and recommendations.
- Generate new sales leads, negotiate client pricing, and forecast sales revenue through direct and indirect sales, supported by the existing sales and technical team.
- Visit clients regularly to assess market conditions and competitiveness to ensure strategic business performance.
- Set, monitor, and control budgets and operating expenses for proper disbursement of funds.
- Follow up on customer sales orders and coordinate with other departments to ensure order fulfillment.
- Drive business growth by expanding coverage area, team size, product range, and sales strategies, with the goal of advancing into a senior sales managerial role.
