Job Description
  1. Monitor and enforce all standard operating procedures; provide feedback to management.
  2. Foster positive, two-way communication between the culinary team and service staff; monitor product quality and presentation.
  3. Delegate, monitor, and review the operational responsibilities of pastry cooks.
  4. Strive to meet and exceed guest expectations without compromising safety and quality; take corrective action when necessary.
  5. Promote understanding of the Disney philosophy among cast and crew; exemplify professional standards, communication, development, work habits, and productivity.
  6. Ensure quality standards are followed; take corrective actions as needed.
  7. Understand, monitor, and ensure adherence to opening and closing procedures for Vanellope’s Sweets and Treats and production areas.
  8. Comply with all sanitation laws, policies, and procedures; oversee crew compliance.
  9. Instruct the crew in daily gelato, ice cream, sorbet, and dessert production; conduct demonstrations and offer desserts.
  10. Prepare showpieces, displays, ice cream, sorbets, and special request items when needed.
  11. Understand and oversee the job responsibilities of the culinary crew.
  12. Attend and chair weekly culinary meetings and other management calls.
  13. Perform emergency duties as specified in the ship’s Assembly Stations and Emergency Functions Plan.
