Job Description
Provider of Hotel and Marine Personnel to International Cruise Lines, Commercial Shipping, and Hotels Worldwide.
Responsibilities include:
- Planning, scheduling, and assigning staff; assisting with menu presentations and organizing F&B ship functions and events; greeting guests and ensuring their well-being.
- Managing guest reservations and seating; communicating guest allergies and needs.
- Maintaining professional communication with the culinary and bar teams.
- Conducting monthly inventories and assisting with ordering.
- Managing budgets, inventory tasks, and stock takes.
- Controlling pest management logs per health policies.
- Updating the Restaurant Manager on team performance; improving service delivery based on feedback and standards.
- Ensuring equipment safety, cleanliness, and proper sanitation.
- Preparing mise-en-place 15 minutes prior to service.
- Scheduling staff and monitoring attendance in accordance with maritime labor standards.
- Leading a multicultural team, enhancing satisfaction, productivity, and retention; holding daily team meetings for updates and feedback.
- Providing high-level guest service aligned with company standards and policies.
- Identifying and developing potential STARS; fostering a culture of ownership and responsibility.
- Conducting performance reviews, ensuring MLC compliance, onboard training, and crew recognition.
- Wearing appropriate PPE and using safe lifting techniques.
- Maintaining grooming standards and securing company property.
- Adapting to different work times, working under pressure with a positive attitude.
- Gaining knowledge about ports, shore excursions, and ship activities.
- Contributing to KPI goals; participating in safety, security, and emergency training.
