Maintenance Manager - Batam (EOL testing, Contract)

The client is a leading electronics company based in Batam.

Job Description

Machine Maintenance, Facility Management, and Development:

1. Oversee daily facility operations and maintenance at the Executive & Cammo Plant, ensuring key performance indicators (KPI), overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), downtime reduction, and 6S implementation.
2. Develop and execute maintenance schedules and preventive maintenance programs using Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) methodology.
3. Manage and regularly inspect spare parts inventory.
4. Ensure proper functioning and efficiency of all facility equipment, including machines, jigs, ESD devices, lighting, and air conditioning.
5. Collaborate with suppliers for new machine development, from concept design to verification and improvement.
6. Maintain accurate documentation for machines, including drawings, procedures, CMK, and TPM records.
7. Ensure proper storage of equipment and compliance with safety protocols.
8. Supervise facility management, covering buildings, assets, and related equipment.

Team Management:

1. Lead and develop a team of facility engineers, maintenance engineers, and technicians, providing training and skill development opportunities.
2. Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and foster a positive team environment.
3. Develop action plans based on business objectives and coordinate team activities effectively.

Safety and Compliance:

1. Ensure adherence to all safety regulations.
2. Conduct regular safety inspections and facility audits.

Budget and Resource Management:

1. Develop and manage the maintenance and facility budget, including expense forecasting and tracking.
2. Coordinate with vendors to ensure maintenance services and supply procurement align with compliance and planning requirements.
3. Optimize cost-effective procurement of maintenance and facility materials/equipment.

Project Management:

1. Plan and oversee maintenance and facility improvement projects focusing on quality, safety, and productivity.
2. Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure project completion on time and within scope.
3. Monitor project progress and address any issues promptly.

Documentation and Reporting:

1. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
2. Prepare and present reports on facility operations and maintenance status.
3. Ensure all documentation is updated and easily accessible.
4. Perform other tasks as assigned by superiors.

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Automation, or a related engineering field.
• At least 10 years of experience in Machine Maintenance & Facility Management, including a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role, with expertise in End-of-Line Tester (EOLT) for electronic products.
• Proficiency in Machine Maintenance & Facility Management software and tools.
• Strong command of English with excellent communication, leadership, and management skills.
• Proven ability in leadership, strategic thinking, problem-solving, policy implementation, and technical expertise in Machine Maintenance & Facility Management.
• Customer-focused with in-depth knowledge of automotive products and industry trends.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards.
• A continuous improvement mindset to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Maintenance & Facility Management.
