Responsibilities include maintenance, installation, and compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a vocational diploma and several years of experience in electrical work, along with relevant certifications.

Position Summary
The Electrician is responsible for ensuring that the electrical systems and equipment in the workshop facility function optimally, safely, and in compliance with regulatory standards. This position will perform installation, repair, maintenance, and inspection of all electrical systems within the workshop area.
Duties And Responsibilities
These are critical tasks that must be performed to ensure the smooth operation of the workshop:
1.Maintenance and Repairs
·Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of electrical systems, including electrical panels, generators, and workshop lighting.
·Diagnose and repair electrical issues in workshop machinery and equipment.
·Identify and replace damaged or outdated electrical components.
2.Installation and Modifications
·Install wiring, electrical panels, outlets, and lighting systems as required in the workshop.
·Upgrade or modify electrical systems to improve efficiency and operational safety.
·Assist in installing new equipment that requires electrical connections.
3.Regulatory Compliance and Safety
·Ensure that all electrical work is performed in accordance with safety standards and government regulations.
·Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures when handling electrical systems.
·Report potential electrical hazards and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
4.Workshop Operational Support
·Provide technical support to the operational team regarding electrical aspects.
·Ensure that all supporting systems, such as lighting, HVAC systems, and backup power (UPS/generator), function properly.
·Coordinate with vendors or external contractors for complex repairs.
NON-ESSENTIAL
These tasks are not critical to workshop operations but support overall efficiency:
1.Administration and Documentation
·Assist in recording and reporting the use of electrical materials and equipment.
·Maintain archives of electrical inspection and maintenance reports.
2.Training and Development
·Participate in training related to electrical technology advancements.
·Provide basic education to workshop staff on safe electricity usage.
3.Additional Tasks
·Support the facility team in other repair projects not directly related to electrical work.
·Assist in preparing for safety audits or inspections by external parties.
Safety & Environment
Ensure that Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment.
Other
Carry out work in accordance with the Company Healt,Safety, Environmental, and Quality System.
Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management System on the Company.
Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvment of the environment.
