SEA Sourcing Manager (Batam) - Manufacturing

The Regional Sourcing Manager (Batam) will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing and procurement strategies to drive cost efficiencies, ensure supply chain resilience, and support sustainable growth.

Our client is a multinational manufacturing company based in Batam, with a global presence supporting the energy industry by providing high-quality products to facilitate production.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee direct and indirect procurement/sourcing for Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia.
  • Develop and implement global and regional sourcing strategies to optimize costs, quality, and supplier performance.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to achieve cost savings, mitigate risks, and create long-term value.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (operations, finance, engineering, R&D) to ensure supplier capabilities meet business needs.
  • Lead negotiations to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms for materials and services.
  • Work closely with logistics and supply chain teams to optimize lead times and inventory levels.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields.
  • 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in metals, oil & gas, or manufacturing industries.
  • Proven leadership in managing supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Experience in global sourcing, supplier risk management, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
