Caprae Capital Partners - Undergrad Private Equity Internship Job Description

Caprae Capital Partners is a private equity fund led by principal Kevin Hong, a serial tech entrepreneur who grew two startups to $31M ARR and $7M in revenue. The fund was founded with two additional tech entrepreneur friends of Kevin, who have had exits to Twitter and Square, respectively. Currently, the fund is seeking new opportunities that align with its investment focus. If you have a passion for finance, especially private equity, ESG, and are mission-driven, this internship could be a great fit for you.

Description of the Work

  • Full-time, remote position with flexibility around time zones and work hours, as long as outcomes are achieved.
  • Own the top of the funnel for Caprae’s private equity deal flow—sourcing and qualifying potential acquisition targets across industries such as ITAD, MSPs, financial services, and healthcare.
  • Build and manage outbound campaigns using tools like Apollo, Clay, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn to generate high-quality leads.
  • Craft compelling, personalized outreach to business owners and executives, emphasizing thoughtful engagement over volume.
  • Collaborate directly with managing partners and the investment team to refine targeting criteria, share market insights, and adjust lead generation strategies based on real-time feedback.
  • Research industries and sub-markets to identify high-potential segments, understand key trends, and map out key players.
  • Track, measure, and improve performance using data to guide prioritization and experimentation.
  • Support initial calls and meetings by preparing background materials, call notes, and strategic talking points for executives.
  • Act as an internal partner across teams, facilitating collaboration between origination, due diligence, and portfolio operations as needed.

Ideal Candidate

  • Undergraduate student interested in Finance, Private Equity, Sales, Business Development, or Market Research.
  • Highly organized, coachable, and self-directed.
  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Confident and professional when engaging with company executives and business owners.
  • Comfortable with CRM and outreach tools, or willing to learn.
  • Experience with or interest in cold outreach and outbound marketing is a plus.
  • Foreign language fluency is a bonus.
  • Willingness to travel for team meetups or conferences (if applicable).
  • Starting salary: RP 10,000,000 monthly.
