Domes Pharma Inc develops and manufactures revolutionary veterinary care products and transforms biotechnologies into easy-to-use care solutions that promote the long-term well-being of animals. The company’s focus is on products for companion animal health. This opening is for a full-time benefitted position.

Duties:

Working under the guidance of the VP of Sales and Marketing, your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Provide veterinary technical support for companion animal product lines to internal and external customers.
  • Liaison to veterinary schools.
  • Develop relationships with key opinion leaders on a national basis.
Abilities:

70% of the role:
Collaboration with colleagues to provide education to Veterinarians and Veterinary staff

  • Provide persuasive educational presentations and discussions to veterinary customers on all aspects of Domes Pharma product lines.
  • Provide balanced product advocacy in scientific education to customers with integrity and always supporting best medicine.
  • Adapt content and communication/delivery to address unique customer opportunities and challenges.
  • Generate innovative content to share insights and experience to grow the business and to elucidate and leverage new business opportunities.
  • Play an active role in identifying key customers/influencers and in devising and executing key customer strategies.
  • Collaborate with an international team of technical services veterinarians working in all subsidiaries of the Dômes Pharma Group.
Customer Requests for Information:
  • Actively engage and interact with colleagues and customers (sales, cross-functional brand team/committees, key customers/accounts) to build a reputation as a go-to trusted partner.
  • Respond to customer (internal and external) requests for information and feedback with timely, contemporary, insightful expert advice and opinion.
Presentations:
  • Identify, develop, and deliver scientific and technical and clinical presentations to internal and external audiences.
  • Be recognized as a popular and credible speaker through delivery of compelling and impactful webinars, round tables, lunch/dinner events, practice visits, university events and other events.
Colleges of Veterinary Medicine and Corporate Accounts:
  • Establish strong working relationships with key faculty at Colleges of Veterinary Medicine and Key Opinion Leaders in related target specialty areas.
  • Network with colleagues and peers within corporate accounts and lead account wide trainings.
  • Ability to reach out to new contacts and to proactively establish new relationships as well as support the commercial development of key accounts through technical and medical support.

30% of the role: Other responsibilities

Marketing Support:
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to marketing and be recognized as integral member of product/market teams able to fully and reliably execute brand vision and messaging.
  • Proactively provide strategic input into respective marketing teams including as to the technical/medical/business gaps and needs for the business.
  • Attend industry trade shows and actively engage potential customers by showcasing products, answering questions, and generating leads while aiming to create a positive brand impression.
Training / Education:
  • As requested, take an active role working with Learning and Development in developing training curricula for sales and technical colleagues, and in designing educational programs for customers.
Business:
  • Generate expert opinion on the latest or emerging treatment guidelines, protocols or recommendations for internal integration into brand/business strategy/tactics.
  • Be able to advise and persuade management at all levels of Domes Pharma on technical issues and provide expert contemporary opinion to frame business opportunities.
  • Be recognized as an “expert,” able to provide advice to customers, consultants, academicians, and internal groups (new products, diagnostics).
Personal Development:
  • Maintain deep and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all scientific and medical information relative to the categories we serve.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Based in Texas, preferred.
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years post-doctoral experience in clinical practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Comfort/ability to present in front of large groups, as well as groups of colleagues.
  • Excellent organizational and computer skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and effectively work within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong relationship building skills.
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible to rapidly evolving business needs.
  • Ability to work and navigate in an environment of regulatory and legal processes.
  • Ability to travel at least 30% (may increase as the role further develops and the business grows).
  • Weekend travel will be necessary to support conference attendance and business meetings.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Research experience.
  • Interest in Ophthalmology and or Toxicology.
  • History of leadership in related professional organization.

The position is fully remote (with the exception of expected travel) and the compensation is thus:

  • Bonus eligible position.
