Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Engineering

1. Create / review 3D Inventor models, 2D AutoCAD drawings, and Bills of Material for new built components / equipment.
2. Create / review 2D or 3D drawings out of re-engineering process for the remanufacturing of items and manufacture of Test fixtures.
3. Create and control OSI Part numbers/Drawings in Master Control and Control Vendor’s drawings.
4. Accept Engineering requests / assignments from Project Engineers, attend project briefing / kick-off meeting related to the assignments, and collect information.
5. Collect information required for each drawing from reference materials and specifications/codes. Liaise with sales/project team for additional information related to Engineering.
6. Prepare draft copy of model or drawing for initial review. Prepare sketches based on reverse engineered information. Prepare proposal drawing for submission to customer through sales team.
7. Verify/finalize drawings, Engineering documents, and upload into MasterControl.
8. Amend drawings in response to feedback on equipment design or changes to work scope. Review impact of changes and process revisions through MasterControl Advanced Packet.
9. Assist in preparation of design package.
10. Assist in preparation for Quality and HSE audits from API and other external organizations. Ensure compliance with the OIL STATES INDUSTRIES’ Quality Management System and HSE system.
11. Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by Design Engineer.
12. Ensure compliance with OIL STATES INDUSTRIES HSE Policies and HSE Management System.
13. Ensure compliance with OIL STATES INDUSTRIES Quality Policies and Quality Management System.

Qualification Requirements:

Formal Education & Certification

1. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Knowledge & Experience

1. 1 to 2 years of experience in AutoCAD is required. Experience in SolidWorks / Autodesk Inventor 3D software.
2. 1 to 2 years of experience in engineering design environment and with manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, assembly & testing.
3. Familiar with API 6A / API 16A / API 16C / API 16F / API 16R and Oil & Gas equipment.
