Job description

Summary

Reporting to Business Development & Investor Relations VP, the incumbent leads and develops the program administration of the company's finance communication with the finance market and the press, including banks, analysts, journalists, institutional investors, individuals, and rating agencies.

Responsibilities :

  • Assist in the formulation of an IR strategy, retail investor strategy, and institutional targeting strategy
  • Help managing relationship and meeting targeted investors, research analysts, and key capital market players
  • Support the production of an annual IR action plan and calendar of key events, including designated executive directors and senior executives whom are allowed to engage with the equity markets
  • Support periodic Boardroom report on shareholder value stewardship on the agreed metrics and issues
  • Analyze the equity market and impact to share price of any price sensitive event and announcement such as a new major investments, new strategy, merger and acquisitions to be used as part of the Board’s response
  • Pro-actively liaise and co-ordinate day-to-day IR activities with other divisions such as finance, corporate secretary, corporate communications, legal, and HR
  • Support corporate events like AGM, Annual Report, Financial Statements, price and non-price sensitive announcements, quarterly results, investor meetings and conferences, and equity analysts briefings
  • Conduct ongoing capital/equity market intelligence, sell-side & buy-side perspectives of peers

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in economics (finance, accounting), engineering, with MBA or similar advanced degree preferred.
  • 4+ years relevant working experience gained either in asset management or investor relations in public companies
  • Have experience working in Big Four Accounting Firm is a plus
  • Have passion in building key relationships with different constituents of capital market and delivering good corporate communication
  • Outstanding analytical skills and detail orientation with proactive and independent drive
  • Energetic and positive attitude with willingness to travel attending IR related activities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, proficient in English
  • Comfortable working with MS Office applications (Powerpoint, Excel, Word)
  • Combination of marketing and finance/accounting background is a plus
  • Familiarity with key aspects of security laws and listing rules is a plus
