IT Business Analyst - Supply Chain and Logistic

About the role

Key driver of efficiency, innovation, and competitiveness by bridging the gap between business needs and IT solutions. Ensure that investments in information technology are aligned with business goals, leading to improved processes and outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  1. Understanding the business requirements: Elicit, document, and analyze business requirements and stakeholder expectations, create process flow diagrams and other visual representations of business processes, analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  2. Design the solutions: Conduct research and develop solutions to solve business problems, enhance efficiency and productivity. Create functional and technical specifications of the solutions.
  3. Conduct quality assurance and coordinate testing: Ensure testing plans are in place, coordinate functional, technical, and integration testing, and resolve issues before acceptance.
  4. Manage solution implementation: Develop the implementation plan, execute, and monitor the process. Communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders, present progress, findings, and recommendations, and maintain stakeholder relationships. Coordinate benefits realization reviews with process owners and managers.
  5. Post-implementation support and continuous improvement: Provide support to end users, analyze current business processes for improvement opportunities using various tools and techniques.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst
  • Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics processes, including inventory management, transportation, and warehousing
  • Proficiency in business analysis techniques such as process mapping, requirements elicitation, and data modeling
  • Knowledge of logistics principles and practices, including warehousing, transportation, facilities management, or demand management
  • Experience in process modeling and workflow analysis using BPMN or UML, and data analysis using SQL, Excel, and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
  • Understanding of project management methodologies and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent documentation skills for functional and technical specifications, analyses, and manuals
  • Certifications like CCBA/CBAP, Supply Chain & Logistics are advantageous
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies such as system automation, integration, IoT, AI, and business intelligence
