The Impact You’ll Make

Join Lam as an Operations Business Analyst, where you'll spearhead process improvement initiatives. Using your data expertise, you will collect and analyze data through Business Intelligence (BI) tools and apps, develop metrics, and identify root causes with data-driven indicators for future improvements. You will organize cross-functional project teams, communicate progress, and survey best practices, demonstrating your commitment to operational excellence at Lam.

What You’ll Do

As a Data Science & Analytics Analyst Lead in the Global Operations organization at Lam Research, you will be responsible for implementing Data Science and Analytics solutions to support decision-making and scale operations. You will work directly with various business units within Global Operations to solve business problems and identify opportunities, develop business requirement documentation, and formulate proof of concepts with back testing. Collaboration with data architecture, business units, and development teams will be essential. You will also work with application and business development teams to design complex solutions aligned with the COE data principles, standards, and strategies.

1. Lead data science and analytics strategic plans, support enterprise data and analytics initiatives for the Global Operations organization in line with Lam’s guidelines.
2. Manage, plan, and organize data science, architecture, and analytics programs aligned with the company's mission, vision, and goals.
3. Develop scalable business processes and analytic initiatives to support business objectives and goals.
4. Apply continuous improvement methodologies, including lean and agile, to deploy advanced analytics solutions.
5. Build and maintain professional relationships at all levels; manage customer relations; communicate and collaborate effectively with business partners.
6. Lead activities ensuring transparency and timely delivery of project milestones.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years with a Master’s; or 5 years with a PhD; or equivalent experience.
• Experience building AI/ML solutions, data science, engineering, and analytics strategies for various business units.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction from warehouses such as Data Factory, Data Fabric, Synapse, SAP HANA, ABAP, SQL Server.
• Knowledge of SAP ECC/S4 or other ERP systems, including modules like Material and Vendor Master, Purchasing, MRP, Order Management, BOM, Logistics, Spares, Warehouse.
• Expertise in AI/ML and statistics using tools like Python, R, PowerBI, MS Excel, SQL Data Models, or similar for actionable insights within data quality guidelines.
• Ability to present ideas and storytelling with data to decision-makers or large audiences.
• Capability to develop meaningful metrics supporting enterprise and business strategies.
• Proficiency in creating clear, concise reports in various formats (PDF, Word, PowerBI, etc.).
