Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience handling permits and licenses in the renewable energy or mining industry.
- Proven experience in managing government relations and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Public Policy, Environmental Science, or a related field from a reputable university with minimum GPA of 3.5
- Strong understanding of the regulatory frameworks in the renewable energy or mining industries.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage effectively with government officials and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex regulatory issues.
- Proven leadership and experience in leading cross-functional teams.
- High ethical standards and commitment to regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in relevant software for document management and reporting.
Job Description:
- Oversee the acquisition, renewal, and management of permits and licenses required for business operations in the renewable energy or mining sectors.
- Ensure compliance with local, regional, and national regulations related to permits and licenses.
- Prepare and submit documentation for permit applications and renewals.
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on business operations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, regulatory agencies, and key stakeholders.
- Act as the primary liaison between the company and government bodies on regulatory matters.
- Represent the company in meetings, discussions, and negotiations with government entities.
- Provide strategic advice on regulatory risks and opportunities to senior management.
- Collaborate with departments like Legal, Compliance, Operations, and Business Development on regulatory matters.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all permits and licenses.
- Prepare regular reports on permit status, regulatory compliance, and government relations activities.
