Job Description

The Lower Primary Homeroom Teacher creates a safe, engaging environment, providing pastoral care and designing and delivering lessons for comprehensive learning in English, Maths, and Science. They aim to enhance students' intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth, equipping them with skills for academic and societal success.

  • Familiar with delivering 3 core subjects: English, Mathematics, and Science
  • Design, facilitate, and manage learning activities, assessments, classroom management, and student engagement to create a safe and stimulating educational setting.
  • Provide pastoral care and support the holistic development of students in grades 1 and/or 2, ensuring a nurturing atmosphere that promotes their growth in all areas.
  • Serve as a positive role model, upholding the school's mission and maintaining high professional standards.
  • Develop and maintain a constructive rapport with children and parents.
Qualifications
  • Effective communication, empathy, adaptability, teamwork, problem-solving, organization, resilience, and a commitment to growth.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and/or relevant subjects (English, Maths, Science).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience, preferably as the lead teacher, with at least 1 year in a comparable position.
  • Experience with Cambridge curriculum.
  • Experience in an international school setting.
  • Caring and nurturing attitude towards children.
  • Knowledge and experience in differentiated learning.
