General Manager – Fertilizer & Waste to Energy

The Role

As General Manager, you will lead two pioneering business units—Fertilizer and Renewable Energy (Waste to Energy)—from operations to commercial strategy. This is a rare opportunity to build and scale sustainable industrial projects in Indonesia.

Key Responsibilities

Organic Waste-to-Fertilizer

• Oversee plant operations for waste conversion into high-quality fertilizer
• Lead market expansion, pricing, and go-to-market strategies
• Drive innovation in organic & inorganic waste processing methods
• Ensure compliance with agricultural, environmental, and SNI standards
• Manage product positioning and stakeholder relationships (plantations, mining, etc.)

Waste to Energy

• Develop and manage renewable energy projects from biomass inputs
• Lead implementation of gasification, pyrolysis, and electrolysis technologies
• Ensure energy project compliance, permitting, and EHS standards
• Build partnerships in government, energy buyers, and clean fuel alliances
• Drive commercialization and investment strategies for hydrogen solutions

Cross-Division Responsibilities

• Lead business strategy, budgeting, and P&L for both divisions
• Manage large-scale investment projects, partnerships, and JVs
• Collaborate with R&D, engineering, operations, and finance teams
• Oversee marketing, team building, and continuous process improvement
• Ensure regulatory and ESG compliance across all activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Agribusiness, or Business; Master’s/MBA preferred
• 8+ years of experience in fertilizer, renewable energy, or sustainable manufacturing
• Minimum 3 years in senior management or GM-level role
• Proven expertise in biomass conversion or waste-to-product transformation
• Strong background in regulatory compliance, ESG practices, and sustainability standards
• Excellent leadership, project execution, and stakeholder management skills
• Financial acumen in budgeting, profitability, and investment planning
• Strong industry network in government, clean energy, agriculture, or industry bodies
• Willingness to travel across Indonesia and collaborate cross-functionally
