Job description

Job Responsibilities

1. Design and implement scalable data pipelines using modern data platforms (Spark, Flink, Kafka, Airflow).
2. Build and manage ETL/ELT processes to ingest data from various sources (databases, APIs, files, message queues).
3. Develop and maintain data models and data warehouse/data lake architectures.
4. Ensure high data quality and implement data validation, observability, and monitoring frameworks.
5. Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
6. Optimize performance of big data processing jobs and ensure cost-efficient data infrastructure.
7. Advocate for best practices in data engineering, including documentation, testing, version control, and team collaboration.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Informatics Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Hands-on experience with distributed data processing frameworks (Apache Spark, Kafka, Flink).
• Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and query performance optimization.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Alibaba Cloud, AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Familiarity with modern orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices in data engineering.
